KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be delivering support to a very large client who is crucial to the business. This role has a strong technical focus which will suit a professional who has to skills to:
Act as a key technical resource to and be responsible for upgrades, technical projects, introducing new technologies, and advising on future technical strategy
Act as a technical escalation point to 1st/2nd line engineers and the clients’ own IT teams
Attend client and vendor meetings
Manage ticket queues, assigning resource to activities and ensuring SLAs are met
Organising the delivery of monthly technical reports
Work closely with Account Manager, 3rd line and project engineers and client’s technical leads – building and developing strong relationships
Manage the technical approval process for all planned changes
Mitigate and manage incidents
KEY SKILLS
Ability to work at Executive level, with superb customer service and communication abilities
Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent team player but with the capacity to be strongly self-motivated as well as motivating others
Pro-active in seeking out tasks and executing accordingly.
Ability to deal with difficult or demanding situations in a calm and professional manner.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
2/3+ years’ experience in a technical role (such as L2/L3 engineer)
A wide-ranging technical skillset, with knowledge of the Microsoft stack & virtualisation technology (preferably Citrix)
Experience troubleshooting and supporting Citrix environments, both end user and core architecture (XenApp / XenDesktop, Netscaler, Director, Studio)
Operational knowledge of Hyper-V, Virtual Machine Manager, clustered services (V-Sphere)
Experience troubleshooting and supporting storage environments
Experience of Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, SharePoint, backup solutions, antivirus software, and networking
Proven experience (and ideally certification) in Office 365 Administration
Proven experience in troubleshooting basic Windows OS/MAC OSX issues
Windows updates and understanding how these are delivered (GPO, 3rd party tools), performing system restores and using vendor diagnostic tools.
Understanding of security products and the cyber threat landscape;
Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions and work under pressure to meet deadlines
Experience in managing or leading others
