Our Leeds based client is offering a superb opportunity to get in n the ground floor of developing a brand new IT service desk team and lead the 1st line support services across the business. The is offering hybrid working - on site and working from home.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing new processes and metrics and will be providing a key service to support the business’ ambitious growth plans.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hands-on leadership of the Service Desk team, investigating, prioritising and resolving IT incidents and requests in line with agreed SLA’s.

  • Leading the team to perform system installations, updates and maintenance

  • Preparing support, FAQ and training documentation

  • To contribute to building an IT knowledge

  • To test and review new releases of fixes or software

  • To manage escalated serious issues to relevant suppliers/support teams,

  • To manage supplier contracts,

  • To review incidents and SLAs to identify re-occurring problems and opportunities to undertake IT continuous improvement initiatives

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years’ experience working in IT Service Desk or customer service environment.

  • Strong IT Service Management knowledge and skills

  • Strong team leadership capability,

  • Experience of managing supplier support services and IT support specialists

  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills

  • Good stakeholder management skills

  • Collaborative working style

  • Drives a great customer service experience

 

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

  • MS Office administration

  • InTune

  • Networking (LAN/WAN)

  • SQL

  • MS O365 – Office, Teams, SharePoint

  • IT qualifications e.g. ITIL, Microsoft

  • Data

  • Orderwise

  • Vector

  • EDI
