My client is the country’s leading insurance finance company and is looking for a further professional to join its IT Service Operations team based in Surrey.  The post holder will own the organisation’s Business Continuity activities, leading the maintenance and improvement of the resilience programme, covering both Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.

This role also calls for high levels of flexibility and the ability to manage a number of business processes as it anticipated that 50% of the time will be dedicated to BC/DR and the remaining 50% to IT service operations, including Major Incident Management and ITIL Process improvement.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the Business Continuity Management System
  • Identify areas for improvements within the Business Continuity lifecycle
  • Lead on the ISO22301 certification assessments and audits
  • Complete Business Impact Analysis
  • Ensure the recovery and resilience strategies are tested regularly and post exercise analysis and reporting is completed
  • Ensure RTO’s and RPO’s for all systems are logged, agreed and are achievable
  • Own risk assessments of the Company’s resilience arrangement
  • Leading Major Incidents as required
  • Complete Post Incident Reviews
  • Vendor ownership and management as required
  • Support ITIL improvements in line with good practice and ISO2000
  • Lead on the Company’s Business Continuity RFP’s and RFI’s for external parties
  • Conduct ongoing horizon scanning

Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years working within business continuity
  • Highly knowledgeable of ITIL processes
  • Proven Major Incident Management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO22301
  • Strong analytical, organisational and decision-making skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly proactive
  • Excellent team player
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred:

  • Experience of working within a DevOps model
  • Administrator level experience of ITSM tools
  • MBCI Certified
