​Kent based IT support Engineer - 1st Line / First Line

Full training will be given if you can demonstrate technical support skills.

As well as its spacious Kent-based headquarters, there are offices in London, Dublin New York and Hong Kong.  The team is hardworking, dynamic and focused on delivering the very best IT support service possible.  Work for my client as a IT Support Engineer and we can guarantee that you will continually develop your technical skills via a wide exposure to client systems, infrastructure and users.

In your daily role, you’ll gain exposure to Office 365, Windows Servers and networking. There will be plenty of opportunities to learn from the dedicated in-house trainer – plus every individual has a budget for training and conferences you want to attend. You'll join a team who prioritises quality and maintaining good relationships with users.

Initially based in the Sittingbourne area (own transport is a must), a hybrid working environment is possible after 3-4 months.

Responsibilities:

  • desktop and laptop fixes

  • supporting users remotely and over the phone

  • troubleshooting Windows 7 & 10

  • managing active directory and group policy

  • liaising with third party support teams, such as Sage and Bloomberg

Key Skills/Experience:

  • A keen interest in IT and any previous experience in an IT support / technical support environment will be beneficial

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server operating environments

  • Using Active Directory administration

  • Exposure to Microsoft Exchange, email protocols and server systems
