We are looking for Trainers / Instructors with solid experience in Data Analysis arena to join a worldwide network of professionals delivering a data analyst training programme that equips learners with the behavioural skills, mindsets, and technical abilities needed to become a successful junior data analyst. 

We really want to hear from you if you’re an experienced educator / trainer with data analyst experience, or a data expert with experience training / teaching. We will especially value your exceptional ability to tailor content to different learners and the energy and enthusiasm you deliver to generate excitement about learning new technical and behavioural skills.

About the role:-

  • 100% online programme

  • 80% training delivery; 10% program management;10% stakeholder engagement and professional development

  • Initial 12-week contract with possibility of renewal – 10 weeks delivering training; two weeks onboarding and training of successful candidates

Key skills and experience:-

  • At least 2 years of experience delivering training to adults required; experience with online facilitation preferred.

  • Competency in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and Google Drive

  • Knowledge of building data pipelines (including sourcing data, uploading and storing data, cleaning data and basic data visualisation)

  • Proficiency in structuring code using object orientation and structuring data using encoding 

  • Knowledge of the following: testing and databases; business analytics and data visualisation fundamentals; Cloud and Containers; Cloud Services; Data Warehouses, Data Security, and Data Cleaning; ETL, Serverless and Logging; Integration & Deployment and Data Lakes; Data Streams

  • Ability to review lesson plans and resources for online delivery and to avoid ‘Zoom fatigue’

  • Able to accommodate different learning style

  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills

  • Ability to organise and manage online and offline resources while managing deadlines.

  • Have a growth mindset, a positive, solution-oriented attitude and a drive for excellence.

  • Good team player with excellent relationship building skills 

It would also be useful to have familiarity with the following tools: Python, Python libraries (Pandas), Py Tests, SQL, NoSQL, MySQL, Apache Spark, ETL, Cloud tools: Azure, Google &  AWS (e.g. S3 buckets, Glue, Redshift), Data Lakes, GitHub. PowerBI, Tableau, Snowflake, Apache Airflow

Responsibilities:-

  • Engage participants in active thinking and participatory learning using effective communication and facilitation techniques online, such as breakout rooms, activities and group work.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs

  • Provide in-the-moment feedback to participants

  • Create and implement systems to foster a supportive and collaborative online community of learners.

  • Record data (e.g., participant attendance, performance in class and assessments, etc.).

  • Trouble-shoot technical issues

  • Support learner screening and any pre-cohort preparation required for the programme, if required.
